We're already 2 weeks into the new year and it has been a busy one! I'm counting down the weeks until graduation, but I'm trying really hard to not focus so much on the ending and just enjoy the ride getting there. This semester is nothing but business classes, so I am in creative withdrawl. Hopefully I'll survive!
So far this year I have found myself pondering the fact that I have been overly blessed with amazing friends. I don't know anyone who has a better group of fun, loving, outgoing and completely wonderful friends. Just when I think I have all the friends I need, another totally great person crosses my path. I am incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing women and I LOVE you all!
Speaking of friends. On the way home from an orthodontist appoinment today, Kayla told me about an experience she had at school. She said, "Mom, I have the best group of friends ever. I love that they share the same values as me and I can talk about the important stuff like the gospel with them." Needless to say I was a little thrown off... this came from a 12 year old? I have never heard my daughter talk like this before. As a mom, this was one of those moments where I felt like I actually do make a difference in the lives of my girls.
I'm a lucky girl!
