Holiday

As 2007 wraps up, I am left to wonder what happened??? Another year ending, but another beginning soon. This was a year full of fun memories and lots of changes.

Kayla turned 12... yes, you read that right. I don't know when that happened either! Not only is she on the verge of becoming a teenager, but she left the innocence of elementary school and moved on to junior high. I was so nervous, but she moved on like it was no big deal. She got to go to girls camp for the first time this summer. Lucky for her I got to go with her as her fearless leader. Kayla has also become the neighborhood babysitter... she is in such high demand that there are times that she makes more money than I do.

Cammy just turned 10 about 3 weeks ago. For her birthday party she got to have her first sleepover. I must have been delusional when I agreed to let six 10 year-olds spend the night. Needless to say, I survived... the house survived! Cammy is becoming quite the artist, she spends hours drawing and painting. She has also become my right hand girl... she keeps the place organized and helps me out so much.

Krystian (aka: little missy) is the one I am the most distraught over. She just turned 6 on the 28th, but the hardest thing for me happened when she started kindergarten in September. Thankfully she has given me the okay to still call her my baby. I think Krystian's favorite thing to do is hang out with mom. She also loves to dance and sing-along to High School Musical and Hannah Montana. She's so fun to watch.

As for me... other than being a mom, I am finishing up design school. I never thought the day would come, but it's coming... April 10th to be exact! And yes I'm thinking the same thing... it went by so fast. The last several years have been crazy, but hopefully with graduation under my belt I can get back to a somewhat normal life. I absolutely love being a mom! My girls make life so wonderful and they each are a blessing in their own little way.

Well, we hope that your year has brought you many wonderful memories too. We are so thankful for all of our friends and family who have been so loving and such a great support. Wherever you may be... we hope you have a wonderful holiday season and best wishes for 2008.
Love,
Heather, Kayla, Cammy and Krystian

Family Vacation

Florida

The highlight of our summer was our vacation to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The girls and I spent 8 days enjoying the Orlando sun... although we didn't love the 98 degrees and 200% humidity so much! Krystian was in heaven... she got to meet every princess imaginable. The highlight of the trip for Krystian was when she was picked for a private photoshoot with Cinderella. Since our trip in August, Krystian has been wearing a tiara (no joke). She claims that she is a "real live princess". Ironically, Kayla's favorite part of the trip was the flight there and back - if I had only known. Cammy thought the waterpark- Blizzard Beach and the big rollercoasters were the most fun. For me... it was really fun to just leave the world behind for the week and live like there wasn't a care in the world.

Summer Trip to Southern Utah

Kanab

We began the summer by taking a roadtrip to Kanab. The girls love Kanab. If they had it their way we would be living there. We visited the Grand Canyon (north rim), Bryce Canyon, Zions and the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. We did a lot of hiking. I did a lot of driving while the girls did a lot of sleeping. It was by far the most peaceful trip I have ever been on!

Bonneville Glen... one of my favorite get-a-way spots.
It's a short walk from the family home I grew up in at the mouth of Emigration Canyon... better known as the Ivy League.
The girls and I love taking walks here. We had so many great times taking walks, playing in the creek and going on picnics with family and friends.

The next best thing to
being a mom... is being an
aunt to sweet little
baby Abram!
